About me
I'm a designer and communications strategist based in Qatar, working at the intersection of brand, systems, and user experience. My background spans advertising agencies, institutional communications, and independent projects, with work that includes campaign visuals, brand identity, digital platforms, and multimedia content.
Currently, I work in communications at Northwestern University in Qatar, where I handle visual branding, vendor coordination, design systems, and cross-team strategy. Before this, I spent time at Ogilvy, Grey, and Alfardan, contributing to campaigns for brands like QNB, Qatar Tourism, BMW, and others. During the 2022 World Cup, I worked as lead photographer for the Corniche fan zone, producing content for the Hayya app and Supreme Committee platforms.
My practice sits somewhere between graphic design, UI/UX, and brand strategy. I'm drawn to work that requires both creative thinking and structural rigor: building design systems, mapping workflows, translating complex ideas into something clear and functional. I'm also a self-taught UI/UX designer, with projects ranging from internal tools at Northwestern Qatar to multiple early-stage app development.
Outside of client work, I make films, think about music, spend too much time fixing things that could work better, and take solo trips where I can. I'm drawn to places where I can eat like the locals, explore underground scenes, and just absorb how people live. I approach design the way I approach most problems: figure out what it needs to do, then make it do that well.
I believe good design should be invisible. It's only when it's done poorly that we notice it. If you're working on something interesting or just want to talk design, systems, or film, let's grab coffee.
